Sunglasses Case

Here is my first free pattern! It is just an easy glasses case pattern that is perfect for the beginner. It has a interesting texture to it. If you find any errors or have any questions, please just let me know.





Difficulty level: Easy – This pattern is a great project for beginners as well as advanced crocheters.

Finished Size - 7.5 inches X 3.5 inches


Materials:

Small amount of worsted weight yarn

Size G crochet hook

Yarn needle

Felt (optional)


Abbreviations:

Ch = Chain

SC = Single Crochet

DC = Double Crochet

Sl St = Slip Stitch


Pattern

Ch. 23


Row 1 – SC in second Ch from hook and each Ch across


Row 2 – Ch 2. Turn. Dc in each Sc across


Row 3 – Ch 1. Turn. Sc in each Dc across


Rows 4-21 – Repeat rows 2 & 3, ending with a row of single crochet


Tie off and weave in ends.


Fold the lower edge of the case up 3 inches. Starting at the left side of the case Sl St in the lowest St. Sc around the left side, top, and right side of the case, Sc-ing the front flap to the back flap in the process. Tie off and weave in ends.


To Line the Case (optional):

Cut a piece of felt in a rectangle 7 inches wide by 5 inches long. Fold the piece of felt in half and stitch both sides of the case together, leaving the top open. Slip the piece of felt into the case to the position you desire. Stitch around the top of the felt, securing it to the crocheted case.
